    Technology Showcase  –  Friday, November 16, 2007 - 10:30am-2:30pm

    This year's Showcase will feature innovative and creative uses of technology in teaching and learning. The event takes place in the Living Arts Lounge of the Creese Center. (The Creese Center is located on the southeast corner of 33rd and Chestnut Streets, Philadelphia.) The agenda is shown below. Lunch will be provided at Noon and that presentation will begin as soon as we are settled, about 12:30pm or so.

    10:30am - 11:15am Using LMS Assessment Tools: End-of-Course Evals and Report Generation
    Presenter: Tammi Worsham, Fashion and Design & Merchandising Department

    Get some insight into (1) assessing more classes and instructors, (2) regularizing and systematizing the process, and (3) the possibility of manipulating the data easily in spreadsheet forms - and next steps.

    Using Vista as an information hub for a multimedia oriented class.

    1:00pm - 1:45pm Education in Motion - iPods at the Next Level - Some Exciting Examples
    Presenters: Rebecca Clothey & Cory Schmitt, Education

    Learn how Drexel's School of Education is integrating media rich experiences into their online and on campus courses. Topics include: companion websites, student created podcasts, museum iPod tours, and cell phone distributed video.
    1:45pm - 2:30pm Positive Impact on Student Access and Outcomes: Incorporating Impatica Lectures and Active Learning Strategies
    Presenter: Alison Green, Neumann College

    See how faculty use Impatica lectures and incorporate active learning strategies in the classroom. Also, how the Division developed a template for all LMS-based courses. This enabled students to obtain course related information easier when transitioning from course to course, minimizing time spent searching for documents.
