Voice Mail and Voice Menu System Upgrade
June 21, 2013
To accommodate continued university growth, Drexel must upgrade its voicemail system and change the way that faculty and professional staff access the voicemail system.
On Friday, June 21 at 8:00 P.M., Drexel's telephone system provider will upgrade the University voice mail system. During the upgrade, incoming callers will be hear a brief message asking that they call back after 7:00 A.M. Saturday. All existing messages, greetings, and voice menus will be preserved; voicemail and voice menu service will resume on Saturday morning.
After the upgrade, the method for accessing voicemail from off-campus will change. When calling 215-895-4900, you will be prompted to identify your mailbox by your 10-digit office phone number, beginning with the area code. Using your 10-digit phone number replaces using "3" followed by your four-digit extension.
This upgrade only impacts University phones configured to use voice mail or voice menus for telephone numbers beginning with 215-895 or 215-571.
If you have questions or concerns regarding this scheduled service interruption, please email email@example.com or call 215-895-6666.
