What is Office Live Workspace?

Office Live Workspace is an online extension of Microsoft Office. It can store more than 1000 documents, or 500 MB. Up to 100 friends and family can be invited to view or edit the documents you place in the Workspace. Documents placed in the Workspace can also be accessed from almost any computer with Internet access.

Most file types can be stored in Workspace, including Office documents, PDFs, and picture files, but for security reasons, executable files cannot be stored. All documents in the Workspace are under virus protection by Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint.

Office Live Workspace only requires a browser and an Internet connection. Compatible browsers in Windows XP and Vista include Internet Explorer 6 or 7 and Firefox 2.0, and Firefox 2.0 on Mac OS X 10.2.x or later.
