What is Google Documents?
Google Documents, or Google Docs, allows you to store your documents, such as text files, presentations, and spreadsheets, and share them with others. Existing documents can be imported, or new ones can be created in Google Docs. Most file formats are accepted, including DOC, XLS, PPT, and RTF. Documents can be published as a webpage, or published in a blog. All files can be accessed from almost any computer with an Internet connection and are therefore safe from local hard drive failures.
With Google Docs, you have control over what documents others can see or edit, and what documents are review only, or what documents remain private. Shared documents can be edited in real time by collaborators, even simultaneously.
