Mass Email Policy
To facilitate electronic communication among large groups of networked computer users, Drexel University offers mass email list services to all academic and administrative departments, colleges, recognized student organizations, and other registered University groups.
Emails can either be sent out on pre-configured lists, special lists, or on lists created at your request. IRT does not directly manage the latter type of list as they are user-designed and managed. IRT can, however, create these special lists. See the link below.
Recognized student organizations are those that have been approved by the Director of Student Activities. For more information, visit the Office of Campus Activities in Creese 215 or send an email to AskOCA@drexel.edu.
All mass email lists must have an individual who acts as owner/manager and is responsible for the contents and maintenance of the list. All electronic communication at Drexel is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy.

All requests for IRT to send a mass email or for IRT to create a new mailing list must be sent with appropriate authorizations to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do not attempt to send out mass emails from your email account. Such mailings are a violation of University policy; they are wasteful of computing resources and they risk compromising the privacy of your recipients. ListServ helps protect the privacy of subscribers.
