New Alumni Information

Congratulations on your graduation from Drexel University! Here are some things to keep in mind as a new alumna/alumnus:

Email - @drexel.edu

Drexel alumni may keep their fully functioning email accounts for up to two years after graduation. This forms a bridge during the period of the first job search, and a way to keep in touch with college friends. During this two-year period, graduates may read email directly from their Drexel email account or forward it to a non-Drexel account, such as that provided by an employer, an ISP, or an online service like Google. For assistance with their @drexel.edu account during this period, graduates should contact the IRT Accounts staff at accounts@drexel.edu, 215-895-2020.

At any time during this two-year period, graduates have the option to close their Drexel accounts by notifying IRT of their preference at accounts@drexel.edu. As part of the account closing process, alumni may choose to keep their userid and Official email address for long-term forwarding to a non-Drexel email account. 

Email - LinkEdu

Drexel alumni may keep their Google (glink) or Microsoft Live (elink, hlink) accounts indefinitely.

dunx1

Drexel alumni may keep their Academic Unix Services account (dunx1) for up to two years after graduation. This account provides personal Web page hosting as well as file storage.

DrexelOne

Drexel alumni may keep their DrexelOne access for up to two years after graduation. This account provides access to various campus resources including BannerWeb.

Drexel Domain

Drexel domain accounts are turned off 30 days after graduation, unless the account owner continues in a different active role at Drexel (such as going on for an advanced degree or working as an employee).

Computer Accounts Management Service

The self-service online Computer Accounts Management Service (https://accounts.drexel.edu) is not available to alumni. For help with Drexel computer accounts during the two-year period after graduation, contact the IRT Accounts staff at accounts@drexel.edu, 215-895-2020.
