A Guide to Technology Resources at Drexel
Welcome!
This Guide to Information Resources and Technology provides an overview of the computing and information resources environment at Drexel University. Many services at Drexel are available primarily – or solely – electronically. Thus, all members of the Drexel community need to first set up their electronic identity, which consists of the following:
- Drexel I.D. Card (DragonCard)
- Drexel computer account(s)
- Personal University I.D. number
The Drexel I.D. Card (DragonCard) provides access to restricted areas and can be loaded with Dragon Dollars for meals, printing needs, and both on- and off-campus merchants. Pick up your DragonCard at one of the offices on Drexel campuses in University City, Center City, or Queen Lane. More information about the DragonCard can be found at http://www.drexel.edu/dbs/dragonCard/about.
Your Drexel computer account(s) can be accessed with your Drexel username and password, an essential piece of your Drexel identity. With your Drexel computer account(s), you can access the services listed here and more:
- DrexelOne portal account
- @drexel.edu email account
- Drexel Domain account (includes DragonFly3 Wireless Internet, Blackboard Vista, IRT’s Computer Software Site, etc.)
Activate your account(s) online at http://accounts.drexel.edu.
Your personal University I.D. number, an automatically-generated eight-digit number, is the key identifier that tracks your records through the systems at Drexel University. Find your number alongside your computer account(s) at http://accounts.drexel.edu. Once you have activated your Drexel computer account(s), you can also look up your University I.D. number at https://www.drexel.edu/irt/univid.
Our Technology Checklists for newcomers provide a comprehensive list of steps and services to ascertain that you have all of the pieces of your electronic identity in place.
