The picturesque campus of Xiamen University where Dr. Mostov, Dr. Liu, and Dr. Márquez will continue to build partnerships

This important visit will focus primarily on expanding global health opportunities to Xiamen University and building on our existing Shanghai Jiao Tong University partnership to include the College of Engineering and the School of Public Health. Dr. Shannon Márquez, Associate Dean and Director of Global Public Health Initiatives, Dr. Joseph Hughes, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Dr. Longjian Liu, Associate Professor of the School of Public Health will meet with colleagues at Xiamen University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University as well visit our joint research center at the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI).

In Xiamen, Drexel will tour Xiamen University’s School of Public Health and engage in meetings with faculty and students to discuss research and teaching collaborations. The next day, the delegation will visit scenic Gulangyu Island, China’s only “traffic-free island.”
