Drexel EAGLES Team Visits at Poli Milano and UPM

In early May, faculty and administrators working with the EAGLES dual degree program traveled to Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy and Universidad Politecnica de Madrid in Spain to promote faculty research collaborations and work on program development. Dr. Jonathan Spanier, faculty lead for the project and Associate Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, led the trip of seminars, research discussions, laboratory visits and administrative meetings. College of Engineering faculty who participated on the trip included Dr. Peter DeCarlo (Environmental Engineering); Dr. Yossef Elabd (Chemical and Biological Engineering) and Dr. Caroline Schauer (Materials Science and Engineering.) The EAGLES program is an EU-Atlantis project, sponsored by the EU Commission and the US Department of Education and Cultural Affairs. Through this program, Drexel students can spend a year studying and researching abroad at the two partner institutions and will earn a MS from Drexel and a MS from Politecnico di Milano.
