Celebrating US-Israel Healthcare Collaborations - Dr. Banu Onaral honored at US-Israel Healthcare Technology Conference Kick-off


Dr. Onaral was honored on Tuesday, November 15th, by the Israel Chamber of Commerce. She is one of the of the founding members of the Drexel University - Hebrew University research HUB, which brings together premier scientists and engineers from the two universities to define and advance joint translational biomedical research projects.

The America-Israel Chamber of Commerce (AICC), in partnership with the Jefferson School of Population Health, held a gala reception and special program to welcome the delegation of Israeli healthcare information technology companies presented at the US-Israel Healthcare Technology Conference and celebrate entrepreneurial healthcare collaborations between Greater Philadelphia and Israel.

Sadly, Dr. Onaral's flight was delayed and was thus she was stuck en route. Therefore, Dr. Peter Lelkes accepted the award on behalf of Dr. Onaral. He described: "It is my honor and privilege to accept this award on behalf of my boss, my colleague, and my friend, Banu Onaral, who cannot be here today. [...] Thank you for honoring Banu Onaral for her commitment to Israel and its exceptional spirit of entrepreneurialism and innovation."
