Biomedical Engineering Students Zain Mahmood and Alexa Karkenny in Maputo, Mozambique.

The “WeServe Africa” initiative, a collaboration between the Office of International Programs and the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, will provide biomedical engineering students the opportunity to complete Co-ops in developing health facilities in The Gambia and Mozambique. Students will work alongside technicians in these facilities to install and restore biomedical equipment while promoting sustainability through training workshops.
