TORTURE- Is it ever justifiable?

Torture is illegal under U.S. and international law. After 9/11, whether to use torture to elicit information from would-be terrorists became a lively topic The Bush Administration apparently allowed “harsh interrogation” techniques to be used on detainees. One of the first things that President Obama did when he took office in January 2009, was to publicly state that the US does not accept torture and would be closing the Guantanamo Bay prison.

What do students from across the globe think about this controversial topic? Let’s take a look at this serious issue engaging Drexel students from the US and other countries in an open discussion…

Please join us for a lively student panel discussion moderated by Dr. Julie Mostov.

Refreshments will be provided

All interested students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. Please RSVP to amehra@drexel.edu
