When Ha Pham, a BS/MS Chemical Engineering student, saw a flyer on campus promoting going abroad at Drexel, she rushed to the Study Abroad office to find out what programs were available. Ha went in with an open mind and a flexible schedule, but she was hoping to find a program that would help her build her Chinese language skills.
Katy Gonder, PhD, comes to Drexel with nearly 20 years of research experience from Central Africa. The primate enthusiast specializes in African biodiversity and conservation strategies, and joins the Bioko Biodiversity Protection Program — founded by bio prof Gail Hearn, PhD — as the principal investigator.
Dr. Joel Oestreich
Dr. Joel Oestreich is the Director of the International Area Studies Program in the College of Arts and Sciences. Having recently completed a Fulbright fellowship in India, Oestreich returns to the U.S. ready to apply his research in his roles as scholar, professor and Director of IAS.
Dr. Arthur Frank, Professor, Chair: Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, Drexel School of Public Health advised the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor for the Government of Israel on the establishment of a research institute in the areas of occupations safety and health.
