Quality Matters Regional Conference

Spring/Summer 2014

The Online Learning Council, and specifically the Fellows, here at Drexel are utilizing the Quality Matters (QM) research-based rubric and other resources to examine course design in several areas. The QM guidelines, for example, provide sound, objective measures with which course design can be studied via standards focused on

  • course overview and introduction
  • learning objectives [competencies
  • assessment and measurement
  • instructional materials
  • learner interaction and engagement
  • course technology
  • learner support
  • accessibility

The Fellows are on point to work with those who are interested in taking a look at their own course design using the QM Rubric and its eight standards. Within the eight standards there is the opportunity to take advantage of their 41 checkpoints. The Fellows have several ways other than this QM Rubric to have a dialogue with you and to possibly collaborate in moving forward as you deem appropriate.
