Response to COVID-19 Pandemic

Guidance for Ramping up Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities

On March 18th, the University took the extreme measure of shutting down almost all of our on campus, field-based, and clinical research, scholarly, and creative activities (research). Since then all research activities that could occur remotely are doing so. For the foreseeable future, this should continue. However, there are numerous research activities which cannot occur remotely. To safely ramp up activities that cannot occur remotely, these guidelines have been developed by the Drexel University Research Emergency Preparedness Subcommittee under the oversight of the Office of Research & Innovation, with input from a number of stakeholders including the Graduate College Emergency Preparedness Subcommittee, Graduate Student Association leadership, Post-doctoral Association leadership, Facilities, Environmental Health & Safety, the Faculty Senate Committee on Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities, Fall 2020 Task Force, the Associate Deans for Research, Deans, and the Provost's Office.
