Advising and Curriculum

IAS places a high priority on individualized attention to students and takes an active role in advising majors from freshman orientation through graduation. We take special pride in being personally acquainted with our majors, supporting their academic and career plans, and keeping track of them after graduation. Students meet regularly with our IAS advising staff to make sure that they are fulfilling program requirements and designing the best schedule for their particular academic and career goals. Students are also encouraged to meet with the Director and other IAS faculty to explore academic interests, graduate studies, professional training, and career plans. IAS advising also includes preparing students for study abroad and cooperative education.
