| The Math Forum would not be possible without the active support of all participants.
Students send solutions, volunteer mathematicians offer mentoring, users provide feedback, and authors create Web pages. Thanks to everyone, it works!
You can also show your appreciation and support through a contribution. This enables The Math Forum to continue offering resources, materials, activities, person-to-person interactions, and educational services that enrich and support learning.
The Math Forum began as a project funded by the National Science Foundation, which provided the start-up costs and initial day-to-day operating funds. This research funding ended for most of our public services, and The Math Forum now depends on contributions from users, sponsors, foundations, and other institutions to provide quality services.
Consider some of the costs to continue The Math Forum:
$10 - Cost to mentor 1 student for one week
$25 - Cost to add a new resource to the library
$500 - Cost to publish a new lesson
$75,000 - Annual cost to manage the Teacher2Teacher service
$125,000 - Annual cost to run a Problem of the Week program
$250,000 - Annual cost to fund Ask Dr. Math
Your contribution is tax-deductible. Contributions from users under 18 years of age must be executed by their parent and/or guardian.
*PLEASE NOTE on Sundays, between 2am and 12pm EST: The Gifts Online system may not be able to process your donation due to systems backup and possible upgrades. We apologize for any inconvenience and urge you to try again later. Thank you. |
