Scholarships

A Drexel education offers the uncommon opportunity to gain relevant, hands-on, entrepreneurial work experience that bridges student life and real life. You can make a difference for deserving students by establishing or contributing to a Drexel scholarship fund. For example:

• Joanne Witiak ’79 and her husband, David, created an endowed scholarship that helps undergraduate students make the Drexel dream a reality. This perpetual recognition of the Witiaks’ generosity will benefit students far into the future. A gift of $25,000 is required to establish an endowed scholarship.

• The General Endowed Scholarship Fund pools your gift with those of other alumni, friends, faculty and staff in a combined fund. Your donation will assist significant numbers of Drexel scholars in perpetuity. Gifts of any size are welcome.

• A third option is a non-endowed scholarship fund, created with a minimum gift of $5,000.  Ms. Debiola English ’95 ’01 established a fund in her parents’ names that provides assistance to students in the College of Information Science and Technology. Ms. English helps transform the lives of Drexel iSchool students by adding to her scholarship fund each year.

• The Tuition Relief Fund assists senior students experiencing financial difficulty who might not be able to graduate without additional financial assistance. Gifts to this fund are especially gratifying in the immediacy of their impact.  Donations of any size are welcome.
