An Important Announcement for Drexel InCircle Users

When the Drexel University Alumni Association launched the inCircle social networking platform for Drexel alumni in 2005, the online tool was at the forefront of social networking technology. Over the past few years, we have seen a noticeable drop in activity on the site, as alumni have embraced other channels for building their professional and career networks of Drexel alumni and for connecting with their Drexel friends. Because of this, we have decided to close Drexel's inCircle site at the end of the year. The data contained in your inCircle profile will be destroyed on December 31, 2012. More

Year of the Dragon logoThe Year of the Dragon: Celebrating Dragons Giving Back in October

More than 100 alumni, students, and friends of the University joined the Drexel University Alumni Association on Saturday, October 13, to celebrate Dragons Giving Back with a day of service at the community playground at Vidas Athletic Complex. After three hours of hard work, the community space was transformed with new paint, fresh plants and bushes, new benches, and playground games like hopscotch and foursquare. The Alumni Association wants to thank everyone who joined us for this day of service. The children and families in the surrounding neighborhoods will be enjoying this revitalized playground for many days to come! To see photographs from the event, including before and after photographs of the transformation, click here.

Throughout the month, alumni around the world are being asked to give back in their own communities and add their volunteer hours to our service tracker on the Year of the Dragon website. That way we can see the positive impact Drexel Dragons are making in their communities across the globe. Let’s see how many hours our Dragons can give back! Click here to see how your classmates are giving back, and share your volunteer experience with us.
