The saying, "the only constant is change" certainly rings true for alumnus Guli Rajani, MS CoE '68. Over the years, Guli has experienced a series of changes and transitions in his professional life, all of which he reflects back on as learning experiences and opportunities for growth. In fact, even as a young adult, he embraced the idea of change and moved from India to Phiiladelphia in order to continue his education at Drexel. Comcast's David L. Cohen, Hon. '97, to Receive Drexel's 2008 Business Leader of the Year Award
Drexel University's LeBow College of Business will present David L. Cohen, Hon. '97, executive vice president of Comcast Corporation, with the 2008 Business Leader of the Year Award. A luncheon will be held in Mr. Cohen's honor on Thursday, December 4, 2008, at noon in the Grand Ballroom at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue in Philadelphia.

A native of New York, Mr. Cohen rose to prominence as chief of staff to former Philadelphia Mayor Ed Rendell, a position he held from 1992 to 1997. His counsel as the mayor's most trusted advisor is credited with helping pull the city from the brink of financial ruin to a resurgent center in a thriving metropolis. After leaving city government, Mr. Cohen became a partner at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, one of the 100 largest law practices in America. More

turkey project 35th Annual Holiday Turkey Project
The Drexel University community has lent its support to the Holiday Turkey Project for 35 years, providing holiday turkeys to families in-need within the university's neighborhood. In 2007, turkeys were given to more than 1,200 families in West Philadelphia and to those served by Drexel's 11th Street Family Health Services Center. Alumni, students, faculty and friends can help by making a donation to the project and volunteering to assist with the turkey distribution in December. Please consider making a donation to the 35th annual Holiday Turkey Project and helping out someone in need. For more information, click here.
Linvilla Celebrate Fall with Alumni from Chester & Delaware Counties at Linvilla Orchards
On Saturday, October 18, 2008, from 1 to 4 p.m., join fellow alumni in Chester and Delaware Counties for a day of family fun at Linvilla Orchards in Media, PA. The afternoon includes hay rides, fall treats and family activities including entrance to the playground, a campfire and corn to feed the animals. Kids under 12 will receive a free pumpkin and a trick-or-treat bag. For more information, click here.
Shady Brook Join Bucks County Alumni for Pumpkin Fest at Shady Brook Farm
Alumni in the Bucks County area are invited to celebrate fall with Shady Brook Farm. Join us on Saturday, October 25, 2008, from 1 to 5 p.m. for Drexel hay rides, family activities and fall treats including cookies, kettle corn, chips and soft drinks. Kids under 12 will receive a free pumpkin and a trick-or-treat bag. For more information, click here.
regatta Head of the Charles Regatta
Since 1965, rowers have come to the banks of the Charles River in Boston, MA, to take part in the world's largest regatta. Gather under the Drexel tent in Reunion Village along the river to cheer on the men's and women's crew teams as they compete against other top national and international colleges and universities. The all-day event will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2008, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, click here.

midnight madness Celebrate Midnight Madness with the Young Alumni Association
Celebrate the tip-off of the 2008-2009 basketball season at Midnight Madness on Thursday, November 6, 2008, at the Daskalakis Athletic Center from 10 p.m. to midnight. Admission is $10 and includes all-access to the Young Alumni Reception in the Hazem Maragah Hospitality Suite. Food and alcoholic beverages will be served. The event will include games, prizes, slam dunk competitions, 3-point shooting contests, surprise appearances, and much more for students and alumni. For more information, click here.

navy CoEAA Naval Surface Warfare Center Tour
Join the College of Engineering Alumni Association on a tour of the Naval Surface Warfare Center on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at 6 p.m. The tour will consist of state-of-the-art land based engineering sites that replicate shipboard environments, as well as a multitude of test facilities that are used to test shipboard equipment. The tour and parking are free and light refreshments and beverages will be provided. Due to security issues, only U.S. citizens may attend the tour. For more information, click here.

AWCoMAD Alumni Premiere Film at Drexel
"Happy Birthday, Harris Malden," a film by Philadelphia production company Sweaty Robot, will make its Philadelphia premiere in a screening at Drexel University's Bossone Auditorium. Sweaty Robot, the film production company formed by five Philadelphia natives — Nick Gregorio, Eric Levy, Juan Cardarelli, Matt Sanchez and Ben Davidow — is thrilled to return to their alma mater for a free screening in the Bossone Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2008.

"Happy Birthday, Harris Malden," filmed throughout Philadelphia, is a quirky comedy that focuses on the odd demonstration of an individual's insecurities and the repercussions of his behaviors. Four out of the five Sweaty Robot producers earned their degrees at Drexel and all five individuals wrote, produced, acted in and directed the film. For more information on the film, click here.

The Alumni Association invites graduates to donate new or used books that they have found to be particularly motivational for the Alumni Leadership Library. The library is a collection of books generously donated by alumni and housed within the Dean of Students' Office. The books are available, free-of-charge, for Drexel students to borrow and use.
