The Drexel University Alumni Association invites you to take part in this year’s election of candidates to the Board of Governors. The Board oversees the Association’s efforts to engage, advance and support the campus community and its alumni and students through a variety of programs, services and awards as well as opportunities for volunteerism and advocacy. Members are nominated based on their demonstrated leadership, involvement, support and commitment to Drexel University and the Alumni Association. To that end, the Nominations Committee has selected the following candidates for election:

Karen Cherfils '08 enrolled in the Drexel University School of Public Health in 2002 with the hope of earning her master’s degree in two years and starting a career in hospital administration. Yet, those plans quickly changed.
After starting classes at the SPH, Karen started doing her community-based research project at Planned Parenthood of Philadelphia. She worked closely with Dr. Bill Hickey and Dr. Sabine Eustache, who were her two faculty advisors at the school.
Karen became active in the school's student government organization and things were going along as planned. However, everything suddenly changed when Karen’s mother became very ill with breast cancer during her second year at the school.
What was once a clear path, now became blurred. More

Dinner with 12 Dragons is a program that personalizes the overall student-alumni experience. All Drexel students and alumni are invited to participate in this dinner program where alumni open their homes to students and fellow alumni for small dinner parties, bringing everyone together in a warm, friendly environment. With online networks like Facebook, inCircle, LinkedIn and the Online Alumni Directory, staying in touch with your friends and classmates has never been so easy! Alumni can join Drexel’s official Facebook fanpages such as the Alumni Association, the Community Alumni Network at Drexel University (CANDU), the University City 5K Run and the Young Alumni Association.
inCircle is an online networking tool similar to Facebook, however, inCircle is exclusive to Drexel alumni. Alumni can network, post blogs, as well as view job opportunities posted by other Drexel graduates.
The official "Drexel University Alumni Association Networking Group" on LinkedIn has become the largest Drexel networking group on LinkedIn, with more than 5,000 alumni, and provides a way for Drexel alumni to connect with each other and discuss career opportunities and professional development.
Search the Online Alumni Directory for friends, post and view class notes, and register for permanent e-mail forwarding. This exclusive membership is complimentary to alumni so log in to the directory often and keep your information up-to-date! More
The Alumni Association invites graduates to donate new or used leadership books that they have found to be particularly motivational for the Alumni Leadership Library. The library is a collection of books generously donated by alumni and housed within the Dean of Students Office. The books are available, free-of-charge, for Drexel students to borrow and use.
