The Alumni Association Welcomes the Class of 2012!

Welcome to the Drexel University Alumni Association and congratulations on earning your Drexel degree! The Alumni Association is here to help you stay connected to your alma mater and to your friends and classmates, and we encourage you to keep in touch with Drexel and become active members of the Alumni Association. You'll stay in the loop, make new friends and stay connected to old ones. We'll help you give your career a boost, tell you about fun social events in your area, and give you the chance to share your Drexel experience with the students that come after you.

Click here and fill out a brief form to update your contact information with the Alumni Association. That way, you'll stay in the loop and continue to receive correspondences from the Alumni Association such as this monthly e-newsletter, Drexel Details. In approximately one month, you will be able to create a profile and update your contact information in the the Online Alumni Directory and take advantage of all that the Online Alumni Directory has to offer.

Year of the Dragon2012: It's The Year of the Dragon!

The Alumni Association has been celebrating the Year of the Dragon since January and now, as alumni, you can join in the fun! We've got lots of exciting events, programs, games, giveaways and more planned for the remainder of 2012, so stay in the loop and visit the Year of the Dragon Web site today!

During the month of June, alumni have been submitting their advice to the Class of 2012. Click here to read the words of encouragement and advice that alumni have shared with your class.

The Year of the Dragon theme for July is "Celebrating Dragon Talents." This month we will share the unique interests and talents of our alumni through a series of "how to" events and online videos. We know that Drexel alumni are a gifted bunch, so we're asking you to help us celebrate Dragon talents by sending us your "how to" videos sharing a special skill or talent. Can you play an instrument, change a tire, or grill the perfect steak? Whatever your talent may be, take a few minutes to film your step-by-step "how to" video and send it to us at alumni@drexel.edu or post it to our Facebook fanpage!

And if you're in the Philadelphia area, join us for our "how to" events in July; Mixology: How to Make Great Drinks and our Philadelphia Wok 'n Walk Tour.


Young Alumni AssociationThe Young Alumni Association

The Young Alumni Association (YAA) provides our newest alumni with career-development programs, professional and social networking events, volunteer opportunities and other social outlets. Some of the exciting events and programs that the YAA plans year-round are Homecoming Weekend, Young Alumni Night at the Ballpark, as well as social and professional networking happy hours.

The YAA is always looking for energetic members who can bring fresh ideas to the group, so let us know if you’d like to get involved with the YAA committee, the Homecoming planning committee, or if you’d simply like to help plan something in your area! More


Alumni Career Services — Get the Tools for Professional Success

The Alumni Career Services (ACS) program provides you with opportunities for professional growth and development, featuring services and programs like résumé-writing workshops, networking receptions, seminars, and question-and-answer sessions with alumni and industry experts.

Networking receptions provide an ideal environment to meet and establish relationships which could potentially lead you to that next career step. The ACS program hosts speakers who cover a wide range of topics from how to win the interview, to achieving a work-life balance, to maximizing your worth in a competitive job market. More


Get Your Alumni Card — It's Free!

Once you graduate, you can request a free Alumni Card which allows you to access the Recreation Center (membership fees apply), the Korman Computing Center and the University libraries. Co-op Chronicles from Crete, Greece

During her time as a co-op student in Crete, Greece, Natasha Pande, a senior communications student, will chronicle her experiences for Drexel alumni in a series of online journal entries. Natasha was afforded the opportunity to work in Greece, thanks to the Vidalakis Cretan Scholars Program.

For her co-op, Natasha is currently working at Creta Maris Beach Resort as a marketing and public relations assistant. She is working on various campaigns within the hotel, writing press releases, and is working on material for the information channels of the hotel. “I feel it is important to gain experience in different fields of business and understand how methods of marketing are molded accordingly,” she said. More
