Blue and Gold Alumni Weekend 2008
The campus was buzzing on May 2 and 3, 2008, for Alumni Weekend, when more than 1,000 alumni, families and friends returned to Drexel to enjoy a variety of events, among them the University City 5K Run, the Alumni Family Picnic and the University Gala. We would especially like to thank and congratulate the members of the class of 1958 who were present to celebrate their milestone 50-year reunion and induction into the Golden Dragon Society. Alumni Leadership Library Alumni Leadership Library
The Drexel Alumni Association invites graduates to donate new or used books that they have found to be particularly motivational for the Alumni Leadership Library. The Library is a collection of books generously donated by alumni and housed within the Dean of Students' office. The books are available, free-of-charge, for Drexel students to borrow and use. Drexel Law Celebrates New Name and Namesake – Earle Mack '59, Hon. '06
Drexel University leaders joined law students and law professors in celebrating the newly renamed Earle Mack School of Law during a gala ceremony on May 1, 2008. Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell and former New York Governor George Pataki were among the luminaries who joined hundreds of law students, professors and administrators in a champagne toast to the school's namesake, a former ambassador to Finland and a 1959 Drexel alumnus. New Dorm

Drexel to Break Ground for the University's 10th Dorm
Drexel broke ground in University City on May 20, 2008, on a new $42 million residence hall. The 17-story building will be the university's 10th dorm and house 500 students in a hybrid suite configuration with a series of shared living areas. The building, made primarily of glass, will feature spectacular views of Center City and incorporate many environmentally sustainable features including a green roof. The building will open in fall 2009. More

Coaches vs. Cancer: Bowl for the Cure

Dragon Boat Festival

Dragon Boat Festival: Call for Paddlers
Join our team! Build teamwork, spirit and pride as part of the 7th Annual Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival and help Drexel alumni, students, faculty and friends paddle to our 5th consecutive Collegiate Challenge Championship. The festival will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. We are looking for 50 participants to fill our two Drexel boats.
