Our big moment is almost here — graduation. Equipped with our Drexel degrees, we're about to go forth and forge our own path in the world. Now is the time to establish our legacy at Drexel. By contributing to our class gift, you will continue our University's founding tradition of providing innovative, inclusive education for future generations to come.
It's up to you to decide exactly what our legacy will be! Read up on the three designation options listed below, and cast your vote for whichever one you choose. You can vote in the giving section at the bottom of the page.
Our first option is to establish a scholarship as part of Operation Graduation. Every year, hundreds of students are placed on "financial hold," unable to register for classes or move forward with their degree program until they find a way to come up with additional funds to cover the cost of tuition that is not already supported through a financial aid package, scholarships or grants. This is particularly challenging for seniors, who are unable to graduate until they have fully paid all Drexel expenses. As a way of relieving this financial burden, Drexel has launched Operation Graduation. The money raised through the senior class gift will be awarded to future senior students with high-achieving academic records who need additional financial assistance in order to complete their Drexel education. Many of the students who find themselves on a financial hold are $500 to $1,000 short of paying their bills. With a class gift goal of $15,000 we can make a significant impact on the lives of our fellow students in need.
Our second option is to contribute to the Papadakis Endowed Scholars Fund. Created to honor the legacy of Drexel's beloved President, this fund is awarded each fall to academically talented seniors whose grade point averages are among the highest in their college or school. The selection of Papadakis Scholars rotates, which means at least one student from every Drexel college and school will be selected on a regular basis. With a class gift goal of $15,000, we can leave a lasting impact on one of our fellow classmates.
Our third option is to help fund students' co-op experiences through the Corporate Partners Program at the Steinbright Career Development Center. Started a year ago, the Corporate Partners Program provides grants to students who wish to pursue a co-op, but are not able to afford the living expenses affiliated with such an experience. More than $22,000 in grants were awarded during the last year, allowing 8 students the chance to attend co-ops in New York, Washington state and California, among others. With a class gift goal of $15,000 we can provide several deserving students the opportunity to pursue the co-operative education experience of their dreams without the added financial burden.

“My time at Drexel has certainly been life-changing. I have met great people and experienced many new things, both in the classroom and in the workplace. Through working with Athletics, I believe I have been able to leave my mark on campus with the hopes that future students will benefit from what I have done during my time here.”
“As a transfer student in 2009 I came into Drexel a little skeptical about what my role would be in student leadership having missed 2 years of the development period in another university. But Drexel had more to offer me than I could think of. Over the last 2 years I have had tremendous opportunities to rise in the Drexel student community, it has given me great experience in academics, research at Drexel's Space Systems lab and participation in student groups. As a Senior in the accelerated BS-MS program, a research assistant in the Space Systems lab and as President of the Indian student organization DISHA, I really could not have asked for more. This is why I would love to give back to Drexel.”
“Drexel has done a lot for me, from the friends I’ve made to the memorable classes I’ve taken and the truly amazing college experience I’ve had. I see the Senior Class Gift campaign as the perfect way to say “Thank You” and give back to the institution which has invested in me and my future.”
“My time at Drexel has fostered personal development and enabled me to further develop as a leader. Drexel employs exceptional staff who are very caring and supportive about the progress of their students. The school's diverse student body has exposed me to cultural differences of students from different nationality who have a wealth of knowledge to share. Over the years, I have acquired skills and gained valuable experiences in which I can apply to the real world. My undergraduate studies at Drexel has significantly changed my life and my attitude towards how I will approach different ideas and matters in the future. I am choosing to support the class gift because I want to give back to the university which has transformed me as a person overall.”
