The Office of Alumni Relations Wins Three National CASE Circle of Excellence Awards

The Drexel University Office of Alumni Relations is excited to announce that its 2012 Year of the Dragon program earned an Overall Category Grand Gold Award in the 2013 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards Program. Topping out 121 entries in the Alumni Relations Program Category to earn this top honor, the Year of the Dragon program also won the Grand Gold Award in the New Program Initiatives subcategory.

In addition, the "All I Really Need to Know I Learned at Drexel" Life Lessons Campaign earned a Bronze Award in the Programming for Special Constituencies subcategory. A special thank you goes to all of the alumni and volunteers who participated in the Year of the Dragon in 2012. Without your help and participation, the Year of the Dragon would not be the award-winning program that it is!

CASE, the Council for Support and Advancement of Education, holds its international Circle of Excellence Awards Program each year to recognize outstanding work in advancement services, alumni relations, communications, fundraising and marketing. Entries are judged by peer professionals at schools, colleges and universities as well as by professionals from outside education. Winners are selected based on a number of factors, including overall quality, innovation, use of resources and the impact on the institution or its external and internal communities, such as alumni, parents, students and faculty and staff.

In 2013, CASE received more than 2,900 entries for consideration in 45 categories by 615 member higher education institutions, independent schools and nonprofits from around the world. Judges gave 281 Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. Nineteen institutions received the top prize of a Grand Gold Award.
