The Drexel University Alumni Association sponsors Dinner with 12 Dragons, a program in which Drexel alumni volunteer to host a dinner party for students and alumni. These gatherings will connect alumni with current Drexel students in a casual environment for good food, conversation and Drexel camaraderie.
Each dinner is centered around a shared topic of interest such as a career path or industry, the environment, the arts, or even involvement in Greek life or student organizations on campus.

How It Works:
You volunteer to host a dinner in your home and work with the Office of Alumni Relations to decide on a theme for your dinner.
A guest list is assembled of students and alumni. If there are particular alumni or students that you want to attend your dinner, just let us know and we'd be happy to invite them.
As the host, you can decide whether or not you would like to have a laid-back buffet-style meal, or a more formal affair. And if you don't want to, you don't even have to cook. Ordering food for the group is always an option!
The Alumni Association will take care of the logistics of the dinner including sending invitations to other alumni, notifying students and facilitating the process.
Alumni who contribute to Drexel University by hosting or underwriting the costs associated with social events will be acknowledged for their gifts-in-kind, and will receive recognition as donors to Drexel's Drexel Fund.
The dinner theme can be based on any topic, university affinity program, or profession. Some suggested topics include: Military Veterans, Media Groups (WKDU Radio Station, Triangle, etc.), Drexel Sports (Golf, Field Hockey, Crew, etc.), International (Indian, Chinese, etc.), Residential Living/RAs, Academic or Career Path (finance, marketing, biology, etc.), Cultural (African American, Latino, etc.), Gender-based (Women in Business), Entrepreneurship, LGBT/Pride, and regional areas – North Jersey, New York City area, South Jersey, Central Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C. area.

How It Works:
You will have the opportunity to register for one dinner based on your interests and the preference of date. Available dates, as well as information about the alumni hosts, will be posted here in October 2011.
You and approximately five other students will go to the home of the alumna/alumnus host for dinner. Transportation to this event is on your own, however, should you require special arrangements, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 1-888-DU-GRADS for assistance.
There is no cost for attending a Dinner with 12 Dragons and spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Take advantage of this opportunity to network with Drexel alumni, find out about life after college, get a feel for the extended Drexel family, and see how you can stay involved with and connected to your alma mater after you graduate.
A mandatory meeting for all student guests will be held prior to each dinner. The date and location of the meeting will be announced following registration.
