Drexel University Sport Management students Marcus Tatum and Joshua Boate along with Assistant Professor Brett Burchette attended the Major League Soccer (MLS) National Sales Center’s networking event held during the MLS SuperDraft in Philadelphia on January 16-17.
The MLS National Sales Center is a highly selective sales training program for the MLS. Selected participants will learn how to sell season, group and mini-ticket plans inventory.
“The MLS Sales Center is an excellent sales training program that offers graduates the chance to learn from seasoned veterans in the art of selling tickets,” said Assistant Professor Brett Burchette. “This is the type of program Drexel Sport Management desires to be associated with. We look forward to creating a partnership with Major League Soccer and the MLS National Sales Center.”
Drexel University also hosted a private screening of the documentary Sons of Ben on Friday, January 17th. The Sons of Ben is an independent supporters group of the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer.
Sport Management student Joe Rockwell IV, a member of The Sons of Ben attended the screening. “The Sons of Ben has been working on getting this movie put together for over a year now. It was great to finally get to see the finished product”, said Rockwell.
