Center for Hospitality and Sport Management
The Center for Hospitality and Sport Management is comprised of three academic departments: Culinary Arts and Food Science, Hospitality Management and Sport Management.
Each department offers both undergraduate and graduate programs of study. In all our programs the academics are rigorous yet we uniquely supplement in-class learning with an outward facing hands-on experiential learning model. During their studies students may be taking classes at a professional sports team's stadium or arena, completing a co-op at a Michelin starred restaurant in Dublin, learning from world renowned guest lecturers or helping to build a hotel from the ground up. We do all we can to bring the industry to the classroom and the classroom to the industry.
In addition to major-specific studies our curriculum takes a cross-disciplinary approach that allows students to work with other schools across campus. By being associated with a large university students also have access to hundreds of clubs, organizations, and extracurricular activities to further advance their learnings.
With the support and guidance of diverse and practiced faculty, expert academic advisors, and a committed co-op placement team students will learn by doing, by networking, by building their resume before even graduating.
