POLICY: EXECUTIVE AIR TRAVEL POLICY
POLICY NUMBER: HR-17
Effective Date: February 1, 2008

PURPOSE:
The purpose is to ensure continued operation of the University in the event of an aircraft disaster.

I.  POLICY:
The University limits the number of senior managers traveling (as defined below) together on University business on the same aircraft.

II. ELIGIBILITY:

Senior managers include: President, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff, Provost, Senior Vice President for Finance and Treasurer, Senior Vice President for Human Resources, Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Senior Vice President for Student Life and Administration, Dean of College of Medicine, General Counsel, Vice President for Enrollment Management, Vice President for Government Relations, Vice President for Information Resource & Technology, Vice President for Internal Audit, Vice President for University Relations, Executive Director for Office of Institutional Research and Deans of the Colleges.    

III. GUIDELINES:

1. No more than three (3) senior managers may travel together in the same aircraft at one time.   

2. The President, and either the Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff, Provost, or Senior Vice President for Finance and Treasurer plus one (1) other senior manager may travel together in the same aircraft at one time.

3. Of the Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff, Provost, and Senior Vice President for Finance and Treasurer only two may travel together plus one (1) other senior manager in the same aircraft at one time.
