This checklist is designed to assist new employees with the various steps that need to be completed within your first month of employment. Please contact Human Resources if you have any questions or concerns at AskHR or 215-895-2850.

In preparation for your FIRST DAY

We encourage you to review the following information:

Remember to:

•  Complete all New Employee Forms to bring to Welcome Aboard

•  Bring original employment eligibility documents (View list)

•  Bring a voided check if you are choosing to use direct deposit

•  Bring original copies of your signed offer letter and application (previously faxed)

 

On your FIRST DAY

Attend the Welcome Aboard program which begins at 9:00am and runs until 3:00pm every Monday (Tuesday in case of a holiday). CLICK HERE FOR DATES AND LOCATIONS.

During orientation:

•  Complete the online orientation survey.

When you get back to your department:

•  Familiarize yourself with your phone system and setup voicemail, http://www.drexel.edu/irt/services/telecom/training/

•  Review important employee information within the DrexelOne portal,

•  Obtain office key (if necessary)

•  Secure tour of facilities

•  Office/conference room

•  Office supplies/copy/fax machine

•  Washrooms/vending machines

•  Coffee/Lunch options

•  Emergency Exit/First Aid

•  Meet with manager to discuss office operations and initial expectations

 

Within your FIRST TWO WEEKS

•  Sign up for Benefits

•  Complete Preventing Sexual Harassment Training

•  Receive position specific training

•  Secure business cards & other needed supplies

•  Performance Discussion around the FIRST Principles and what they look like in your department
