I need to change a rating on my employee's evaluation. Is this possible?
Yes! As long as the evaluation has not been migrated to your employee's Past Evaluations, you can change the ratings in the evaluation.
- Go to the My Employee Evaluations page.
- Select
in the Actions column until the evaluation is in the Planning phase.
- Once the evaluation is in the Planning phase, select
in the Actions column. The evaluation will now be in the Assessment phase.
- Have your employee open the evaluation, go to the Overall Evaluation of Performance tab, and select the Submit Assessment button.
- You now have access to change your ratings. Select the rating that you want to change. The pop-up window will appear so you can select the new rating.
- Select the radio button for the new rating.
- Select the Evaluate button to save the new rating.
The notes that I entered no longer display. Where did they go?
As long as your notes saved, they will display in the performance management system. You may have mistakenly saved your note under the Private audience (meaning the note is only viewable to the person who entered it). Use the following instructions to check to see if your note is saved as Private:
- Select
where you saved your note.
- From the View Notes Entries By Evaluation Audience drop down menu, select Private. Then select Filter Results.
- If the note now displays, it is saved as a Private note. To change the audience to All (meaning that the note will be viewable by the employee and supervisor), select the Edit link under the note, change the note entry drop down menu to All, and select the Update button at the bottom of the page.
If you are referring to the comments that you entered when selecting a rating for yourself/your employee, you can view them under the notepad for the goal/competency. Select
to view or edit Comment text.
I am unable to edit goal text but I need to make changes or add another goal. What do I do?
The evaluation must be in the Planning phase to add a goal or revise goal text. If the evaluation is in a phase other than Planning, the supervisor will have to complete the following steps. The manager will have to move the evaluation to the Planning phase, and then either the manager or the employee can revise the goal.
Manager Steps
- Go to the My Employee Evaluations page.
- Select
until the evaluation is in the Planning phase.
Manager or Employee Steps (NOTE: Employees will only be able to edit the goal if they originally entered it. If the manager entered or edited the goal at any point in the evaluation process, the manager will have to revise the goal for the employee.)
-
Managers: Select
in the Planning phase to open the evaluation.
Employees: Select the My Evaluations link under the Employee menu to open.
- Select the tab where the goal is saved (Performance or Development) or where you want to add a goal.
- To Edit a Goal
- Select
in the Actions column.
- The goal text will be brought down to the text boxes below the saved goals. Make the appropriate revisions in the boxes.
- Select the Save button at the bottom right of the screen.
- To Add a Goal
- Enter a Goal Name in the left text box.
- Enter the SMART Goal Description in the right text box.
- When finished entering the goal information, select the Save button at the bottom right of the screen.
Manager Steps
- Go to the My Employee Evaluations page.
- Select
in the Actions column to move the evaluation to the Assessment phase.
The evaluation is now sitting with the employee to rate the edited/added goal. Once the employee is finished rating all of their goals and competencies, they will go to the Overall Evaluation of Performance tab and select the Submit Assessment button.
One of my direct reports does not appear in the My Employee Evaluations screen. How do I gain control of their evaluation?
Email
hris@drexel.edu with the name of the employee who should report to you. If they already have an evaluation started, the evaluation will be automatically migrated to you.
One of the employees on my My Employee Evaluations page no longer reports to me. How do I remove them from my direct reports?
Email
hris@drexel.edu to change the employee's supervisor. If you have already started an evaluation for the employee, it will be automatically transferred to the new supervisor.
Although an employee reports to me, a different supervisor should be completing their performance evaluation. Is this possible?
Yes. If an employee was transferred to you late in the year and you would like their previous supervisor to complete the evaluation, you can reassign the current evaluation to a different supervisor and still remain as the employee's supervisor for future evaluations.
- 1) Go to the My Employee Evaluations page
- 2) Select
in the Actions column
- 3) Select the supervisor's name in the drop down menu (if you can't find the supervisor's name in the drop down menu, email Lindsay Snyder at les37@drexel.edu)
- 4) Select the Reassign button
When I select the Evaluate button to evaluate myself/my employee, nothing happens. What do I do?
If you have multiple web browser windows open, the performance management system will overtake one when you select the Evaluate button. Close all web browser windows except for one and you will be able to receive the pop-up windows when you select the Evaluate button.
I want to start rating myself/my employee but the system won't let me. What do I do?

Managers
- Go to the My Employee Evaluations page under the Manager menu.
- Select
in the Actions column for your employee.

Employees
Have your manager follow the steps above to create your evaluation. There is no way for you to start your own performance evaluation.
The system timed me out when I was working on my evaluation. Is this common?
The system will time out after 120 minutes of inactivity. This means that even if you are actively editing your goals in either the Performance or Development Goals tabs but don’t save or leave the screen, you will time out after 120 minutes. You must sign in through DrexelOne to log back into the evaluation software.
Human Resources recommends saving a backup file of your goals in a Word document to ensure that no data is lost. You are able to copy and paste goal text from a Word document into the online performance management system.
