Drexel University 403(b) Retirement Plan
Enrollment/Change Instructions

These instructions are not appropriate if you work for Drexel University College of Medicine. Click here for the correct instructions.

The general limits for your contribution are listed below. If you are required to participate (Mandatory), then the required 2% deduction is not considered part of the limit.

2005: $14,000 If you are 50 or older, you may add $4,000 to this amount
2006: $15,000 If you are 50 or older, you may add $5,000 to this amount
2007: $15,500 If you are 50 or older, he may add $5,000 to this amount

Enrollment/CHANGE Instructions

Please read these instructions in full before enrolling.

DEADLINE: all enrollments/changes must be in the HR/Benefits office on the first day of the month in which you wish to enroll. Employer Contributions for prior months are not legally permissible unless you are required by Drexel University to participate in the plan .

In all instances, before enrolling, gather the information about your investment percentage, beneficiary, and fund choices. Be ready to provide your SSN, home ZIP code, date of birth, and, in some cases, Plan Number.

Fund information is available on the web sites for all providers below.

If you do not have access to a computer and wish to use one in Human Resources, wish information not available to you already, or have questions, contact Rhianna Pearl at 215-895-2853 or pearlr@drexel.edu or fax to 215-895-5813.

 

TIAA-CREF

Online Enrollment

If you are eligible for a contribution from Drexel University, click here for enrollment instructions.

If you are NOT eligible for a contribution from Drexel University, click here for enrollment instructions.

If you do not know, Click here for plan information, or contact Rhianna Pearl in the Human Resources Office by e-mail, pearlr@drexel.edu or by phone, 215-895-2853.

After you enroll, TIAA-CREF will send the information directly to Drexel, so please do not send a form unless you are enrolling with more than one provider (see the appropriate section at the end of these instructions).

Changes - Please complete and fax the Retirement Plan Salary Reduction Form to the Contact below. Do this for percentage changes and terminations. Click here for the form.

NOTE: the new form cancels all prior forms, so be sure to indicate all of your retirement plan deduction information on the form, including your required 2% if appropriate.

 

The Vanguard Group

Please use one of the three ways below to enroll.

The Plan Number is 091322. Your default beneficiary is your spouse. Beneficiary forms are available through the Contact below. Vanguard will send the information directly to Drexel, so please do not send a form unless you are enrolling with more than one provider (see the appropriate section at the end of these instructions).

1. Online Enrollment - go to www.vanguard.com .

2. Speak with a Vanguard Participant Services associate at 1-800-523-1188 Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 9 PM, Eastern time.

3. Use the PIN that you received at your home address, call Vanguard's 24-hour automated VOICE Network at 800-523-1188.

Changes: Contact Vanguard as above to change or stop your deduction.
NOTE:
the new election cancels all prior elections, so be sure to give all of your retirement plan deduction information, including your required 2% if appropriate.

 

Fidelity Investments

For information about Fidelity, please go to www.fidelity.com/atwork

1. Complete the enrollment form. Click here for the form.

2. Complete the Agreement for Salary Reduction under Section 403b.

3. Return all forms to Rhianna Pearl, Human Resources, University City Main Campus - DO NOT FAX.

Enrollment with more than one Investment Company

If you wish to enroll with more than one Investment Company, splitting your contribution, you must follow all the directions above for both/all companies AND you must submit a Retirement Plan Salary Reduction Agreement form to the Drexel Contact listed below. Click here for the form.
PLEASE NOTE:
you may split your deduction in 10% increments only.
