Working With Minors

Wednesday, March 1, 2017

12:00 PM-1:00 PM

As we continue to work towards Drexel’s vision to be the most civically engaged university in the country, our Faculty, Professional Staff, Students and Volunteers are involved in programs designed to support and enrich the children of our surrounding community. To ensure the safety of the entire Drexel community, Drexel complies with the PA Child Protective Services Law (CPSL). The CPSL mandates that individuals who interact with minors as part of their work or volunteer duties obtain 3 special background check clearances: FBI Fingerprint Clearance, PA Child Abuse History Clearance and PA State Police Criminal History Clearance. This workshop will provide you with an overview of the law, information on who is required to obtain the clearances and details on the Drexel process for compliance with the CPSL.
