Frequently Asked Questions
Is
your question not here? Email us at housing@drexel.edu.
How
do I apply for housing?
Applying
for housing is very simple! Please visit this
page for step by step instructions.
Can
I visit to see the different resident halls?
The Admissions
tour includes a visit to a sample room as well a walk
through the residential section of campus. University Housing
does not conduct private tours.
Which
residence hall should I live in?
All of our residence halls are great places to live! Each
year brings new residents who create a unique living community.
Each building, however, has its own distinct physical style
and features. Explore all the different halls here
on our site.
Can
my friend and I live together?
Of
course! During step 7 of your application you will be able
to list a preferred roommate. You will need the person's full
name and Drexel User ID (usually initials followed by 2 to
4 numbers). You will find out your user ID when you pick up
your Drexel email account. Your preferred roommate will also
need to list you on his or her application.
How
do you match up roommates?
Step 7 of your application will ask you a few questions about
some of your personal habits (sleeping, studying, cleaning,
etc.). We then do our best to pair you up with someone with
similar habits.
Can
I change my application after completing it?
You can change your application until the housing deadline
of 6/15/08. Simply log into your MyHousing account and click
on "Update" in the My Applications box. You can
then select whichever sections of the application you would
like to change.
Why can't I get past step 7 when updating my application?
You can only change the information you provided
for steps 3-7.
I
just paid my matriculation fee, why isn't MyHousing working?
Sometimes
there is a temporary lapse between paying your matriculation
fee and being shown as a confirmed student in our database.
If you are still unable to create an account after 2 weeks,
please email us.
I've
been accepted to the Honors College;
how do I sign up for Honors housing?
Step
5b of your application will state that you are eligible for
Honors Housing. Make sure to select this option to let us
know that you prefer to live in Race Street Residences. You
will still be required to rank the other 5 halls in the chance
that there are no vacancies in Race Street when you are assigned.
When
do I find out where I'll be living?
First year students' assignments will be sent to your Drexel
email address in mid-July.
What
if I have a medical condition that requires certain accommodations?
Drexel University ensures people with disabilities will have
an equal opportunity to participate in its programs and activities.
For more information on requesting accommodations, please
visit the Office of Disability Service's website.
