Learning Communities-Future Health Professionals
 

“Future Health Professionals” is a learning community that gives academic and social support; career information and networking opportunities; and additional educational and career advising to those students who are planning on a future in a health profession. These professions include but are not limited to: Medical Doctor, Dentist, Veterinarian, Physician Assistant and Physical Therapist.

As members of the Future Health Professionals Learning Community you will:
• Identify the opportunities, challenges, and resources related to their field of study and learn how to benefit from them
• Learn leadership skills that are critical for success
• Be able to make educated decisions regarding the path you choose to obtain your ultimate career goals
• Work together to achieve success
• Learn strategies to cope with and succeed within a rigorous and potentially stressful program of study

These goals will be accomplished by your participation in a variety of workshops, discussion groups, academic review sessions, and advising activities. You will learn from faulty, staff, and guest speakers, as well as from the other members of your community.

 
Selection Process: Participants are selected on a first-come first served basis. Space is limited.
 
Participant Requirements: Must attend at least one CEO workshop per term, make every effort to attend all LC events and meetings.
