Q1. How can my friends and I get a suite or apartment
together?
A.Groups of up to six may select to live
together in a suite. Each group member must complete a
housing application and include their roommate preferences
on the form. Provided all students submit an application
and receive housing based on a first-come-first-serve
basis the Office of University Housing will do it’s
best to place all students together. Make sure that you
list each other on your applications. Students must be
on each other's application to be considered a valid roommate/suitemate
preference. |

Q2.
What if I am unsure if I will live on campus next year?
A. You must understand that signing the housing application
is similar to signing a lease and is a binding agreement.
Releases from this agreement are only honored for situations
outlined in the Housing Agreement. Only sign up for housing
for the terms that you are sure you want to live on campus.
Another option is that you could apply for housing after
room selection; however, there is no guarantee that rooms
will still be available. The Release from Housing
Agreement
policy is strictly enforced. |

Q3.
I am on co-op next year and am unsure of my cycle and
where my co-op position will be located. Should I sign
up for housing?
We offer students with co-op positions outside the area
the chance to move closer to their place of employment.
If you receive a co-op position within 10 miles from campus,
then you would be obligated to on-campus housing if you
signed up for housing during that co-op period. Co-op
employment over 10 miles from campus as defined by our
zip code list is an acceptable reason for cancellation.
You may only cancel your housing for terms you are on
co-op AND you will be asked to provide documentation of
new residence outside a 10 mile radius from campus. If
you cancel for a co-op outside the city of Philadelphia
and have a remaining assignment, you may be reassigned
to a different space when you return to campus. Please
see the Housing Agreement
for more detailed information. |

Q4.
Will everyone who applies for housing receive an assignment?
A. Housing will be assigned on a first
come, first served basis for the 2008-2009 academic
year. Make sure to get your appliation in early!
You will
recieve a confirmation that you will be able to live
on campus within 2 business days.

Q5.
My friends and I want to live together but we will be
here for different/overlapping terms. Can we sign up together?
A. Yes. On your housing application,
be sure to include the names and email user ids for all
of your preferred roommates. This information will be
used to try and place you and your friends in the same
suite for just the terms indicated on the housing application |
