When you submit your housing application, a random lottery number will be generated. This number will be included in your confirmation email. When making assignments we will place all students in order by lottery number.

Your academic class status determines which range of numbers you may draw from. Priority is given to students who have/had a housing assignment anytime from Fall 2006 to Summer 2007.

      Class Lottery # range
    Housed 1st Rising Sophomores 10,000 to 19,999
    Housed 2nd Rising Seniors 20,000 to 29,999
    Housed 3rd Rising Juniors 30,000 to 39,999
    Housed 4th Rising Pre-Juniors 40,000 to 49,999
    Housed 5th Graduate Students 50,000 to 59,999
Housed 6th Anyone who did not have an assignment anytime between Fall 2006 to Summer 2007.
Housed 7th Students that applied after the deadline on a first-come first-served basis.

In the improbable event that two students receive the same lottery number, the person who submitted their application earlier will be housed first.

For students applying with one or more preferred roommate:
Each student must submit a housing application indicating all of your preferred roommates on the application. You and your preferred roommates will EACH receive a lottery number. The lowest lottery number from the group will be used to house the group.
