For the first time, University Housing is pleased to offer housing to members of Greek organizations who may wish to live in their respective Chapter House during the summer term and who will not be taking classes during the Summer term.
This option is being made available on a trial basis for Summer 2008. Please see the notes below for eligibility and policies associated with this offering.
Students wishing to sign up for this option can do so via MyHousing starting on Monday, March 10, 2008. Note: students who have already signed a housing contract for the Summer may go back and adjust their contract to reflect this option as well.
34th Street Housing
Summer Non-Academic Residents
Students not registered academically or on a Co-Op cycle may live in a 34th Street property during the Summer 2008 term under the following conditions:
- The student signs an Individual Housing Agreement with the Office of University Housing via the MyHousing online system;
- The student is enrolled, in good standing academically and judicially, and no holds are active on the student account , as defined in the Student Handbook;
- The student was an active student enrolled in classes during the full Spring 2008 term, regardless of their Spring housing status and intends to be a fully enrolled student during the Fall 2008 academic term, regardless of Fall term housing status. Students intending to graduate in Spring 2008 or Summer 2008 terms are not eligible;
- The student will be a Sophomore or above during the Fall 2008 term based on the amount of credits earned;
- The student is a member of the respective Greek organization and has been approved to be resident by the House Leadership and Alumni Advisor and/or Alumni board representation;
Further, the resident student understands:
- The full Individual House Agreement is in effect;
- The House Director assigned to the property will enforce all University policies as well as University Housing policies and procedures;
- The House Manager is the official liaison between the organization and the Office of University Housing;
- Any violation of the Student Code of Conduct may result in removal from University provided housing;
- Card access (if applicable) will be granted and an individual bedroom door key issued for the Summer term period for which the student is solely responsible;
- This offering is available for the summer 2008 term only and may or may not be offered in the future.
- Billing will occur via the Drexel University student billing system.
