Honors Requirements
Membership in the Pennoni Honors College is a privilege extended, upon selection or application, to the University's most accomplished young scholars. Remaining a part of this prestigious community and benefiting from its many advantages requires serious academic commitments from community members and exemplary ethical conduct.
Specific requirements to maintain membership in the Pennoni Honors College include the following:
Maintain an overall GPA of 3.2 or higher
Demonstrate conduct befitting an Honors student
Successful completion of at least seven credits of Honors coursework with a grade of B- or better prior to graduation, as follows: - Successful completion of HNRS 200, our one-credit freshman seminar, preferably during fall term of freshman year
- Successful completion of a three-credit Honors course (such as Honors Colloquia, Honors Disciplinary Sections of University Courses, Honors Option Classes, or Honors Independent Study) by the end of your sophomore year.
- Successful completion of an additional three-credit Honors course during any term prior to graduation (such as Honors Colloquia, Honors Disciplinary Sections of University Courses, Honors Option Classes, or Honors Independent Study).
