Teaching, Research, and Graduate Assistantships

Drexel University supports the graduate education of over 750 graduate students through teaching and research assistantships with over $20 million dollars in stipend and tuition remission annually. Graduate assistantships are offered by academic units to carefully selected students on a competitive basis.

The primary goal of an assistantship is to facilitate progress toward the graduate degree by providing work experience under the supervision of a faculty mentor. The graduate assistant receives financial support for graduate study by contributing to the teaching and/or research mission of the university.

You can request an application for an assistantship via the graduate admission application. To be considered for an assistantship, you must submit your application by January 1st (to begin in the fall term).
