Academic Assistance and Support
Drexel graduate students have access to a wide variety of academic and student support services to assist them throughout their academic program. While some services are college/school, department and/or program specific, others are offered more centrally and available to all students.
Academic Resource Center (ARC)
The Academic Resource Center (ARC), located in the Korman Center, serves as an integrated hub of academic support services focusing on providing tutoring, academic coaching, workshops, specialized courses, and more — effectively streamlining your experience and making it easier to access the tools that best fit your individual needs. Center for Learning and Academic Success Services (CLASS)
As a leading partner within the Academic Resource Center (ARC), the Center for Learning and Academic Success Services (CLASS) empowers students to develop skills and strategies that foster academic success and personal growth through purposeful interactions with peer and professional staff.

Drexel University Libraries
The Drexel University Libraries offers a wide variety of services, including research and data management support, discipline-specific guides and librarians, guidance navigating more than 500 databases, support for thesis, dissertation and project submission and publication, academic and professional development workshops, programs and more.
Online Student Support
Drexel offers a variety of support services specifically for our online student population, including the Online Test Drive which allows students to practice accessing and navigating a course in Blackboard Learn, Drexel's Learning Management System (LMS), the Graduate Online Student Success Series: Grad Online Jawn, as well as support through campus partners. Drexel University Information Technology (DUIT) offers guidance, troubleshooting and tutorials for accessing and navigating your Drexel accounts and systems.
English Language Center (ELC)
The English Language Center (ELC) at Drexel University offers programs and services to meet the academic, professional and personal needs of adult English language learners. You will build a foundation for academic and professional success in a diverse, welcoming and supportive environment. We are fully accredited and look forward to helping you take the next steps in your educational and career journeys. The ELC also provides an International Teaching Assistant (ITA) program for new international TAs.
Fellowships Advising
Undergraduate Research and Enrichment Programs (UREP) provides advising and support for Drexel graduate students applying for competitive scholarship and fellowship opportunities to enhance their graduate or postgraduate academic work. They also offer information sessions and workshops to help students prepare effective application materials.
Statistics Assistance
The Biostatistics Scientific Collaboration Center (BSC) in the Dornsife School of Public Health offers team members who can contribute data management best practices, participate in study design, and conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis. Their goal is to facilitate rigorous, reproducible research with strong scientific premise informed by sound statistical methodology, while fostering a spirit of interdisciplinary team science. The BSC is a fee-for-service center, and our experienced team is here to collaborate with you every step of the way. The Drexel University Libraries also offer research data management support.
Writing Assistance
The Drexel Writing Center (DWC), a member of the Academic Resource Center (ARC), supports all members of our Drexel University community to develop as writers. The DWC offers access to free, confidential consultations on writing projects, from interpreting assignments to planning to drafting and editing. They provide individualized support for any task –assignments, personal statements, scholarly articles for publication and personal projects– from brainstorming to final revision. In addition, the center helps to integrate writing and the teaching of writing into the curriculum.
The center, hosted within the University Writing Program in the College of Arts and Sciences, encourages students, faculty and staff to write and learn about writing by thinking through and developing various writing projects, primarily through one-on-one consultations with peer readers, graduate writing consultants and faculty readers.
Drexel graduate students from various areas of expertise help to staff the Graduate Writing Consultants (GWCs) program. Consultants are skilled in working with essential projects such as theses, dissertations and articles for submission to peer-reviewed journals. GWCs meet with their peers in one-to-one conferences that take place in the Drexel Writing Center or online in synchronous appointments that utilize audio/video, chat functions and document editing capabilities. While walk-ins are welcome, we encourage you to make an appointment since our GWCs are in high demand. GWCs offer free, long-term appointments for all Drexel graduate students working on large projects like dissertations. Get matched with a GWC who will work with you weekly, in-person or remotely, over an extended time to develop your long-term writing project.
