Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the activity, participants should be able to:
- Provide an overview of complexities of genomic imbalance
- Discuss the mechanism of UPD and LOH in leading to genomic aberration
- Define pathogenesis and consequences of UPD and LOH in cancer and constitutional disorders
- Provide utility of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) array in detecting these aberrations
