Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the activity, participants should be able to:

  • Provide an overview of complexities of genomic imbalance
  • Discuss the mechanism of UPD and LOH in leading to genomic aberration
  • Define pathogenesis and consequences of UPD and LOH in cancer and constitutional disorders
  • Provide utility of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) array in detecting these aberrations
