Dr. Ellen Giarelli named ISONG Liaison for the NIH
Philadelphia, PA, January 12, 2012 — Ellen Giarelli, EdD, RN, MS, CRNP, associate professor, Doctor of Nursing Practice, has been named ISONG Liaison for the National Advisory Council For Human Genome Research, National Institutes of Health. She has expertise in autism and cancer genetics and has applied for a R21 from NHGRI/ELSI to create a five-year plan for genetic nursing. Dr. Giarelli is the current President of ISONG and active in a number of national nursing organizations. She will be attending the February Council meeting in Bethesda, Maryland.
