  • Student selects cognates to properly support the clinical dissertation topic.
  • Residency requirement: Must complete both summer residency weeks.
  • This cohort program is designed to be completed part time in three calendar years.
  • The Dr.N.P. in Nursing Science has two tracks:
    1. Practitioner—Clinical Scholar in Advanced Nursing Practice,
    2. Clinical Executive—Clinical Scholar in Nursing Leadership and Healthcare Management.
  • All students will select a clinical specialty focus and complete a related clinical and role practicum and a clinically focused dissertation. The doctoral curriculum is constructed around five core fields:
      1. Nursing Science Core,
      2. Nursing Practice Core,
      3. Research Methods Core,
      4. Cognate Core, and
      5. Dissertation Core.
