Doctor of Nursing Practice Program
The Clinical Research Doctor of Nursing Practice Program curriculum will put you on the leading edge of national trends. The program blends practice-focused education with innovation, practical clinical research, and scholarship.
- Student selects cognates to properly support the clinical dissertation topic.
- Residency requirement: Must complete both summer residency weeks.
- This cohort program is designed to be completed part time in three calendar years.
- The Dr.N.P. in Nursing Science has two tracks:
- Practitioner—Clinical Scholar in Advanced Nursing Practice,
- Clinical Executive—Clinical Scholar in Nursing Leadership and Healthcare Management.
- All students will select a clinical specialty focus and complete a related clinical and role practicum and a clinically focused dissertation. The doctoral curriculum is constructed around five core fields:
- Nursing Science Core,
- Nursing Practice Core,
- Research Methods Core,
- Cognate Core, and
- Dissertation Core.
