The PhD program is open to applicants holding either a bachelor's or a master's degree.

  • Transcripts

    Provide transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

  • Standardized Test Scores

    GRE scores are not required for non-thesis MS applicants. GRE scores are required for students applying for assistantships, fellowship appointments, and for all PhD applicants (minimum score varies).

    TOEFL scores are required for international applicants or applicants who earned a degree outside the U.S. (minimum scores: 100/600/250). Scores will be reviewed based on section scores and total scores. IELTS scores may be submitted in lieu of TOEFL scores.

  • Essay

    Please write approximately 500 words explaining your reasons for pursuing a degree from Drexel; your short-term and long-term career plans; and how your background, experience, interest, and/or values, when combined with a Drexel degree, will enable you to pursue these goals successfully.

  • Résumé

    Submit your résumé by mail or email it as an attachment to enroll@drexel.edu.

  • Letters of Recommendation

    Two letters of recommendation are required. Use the Electronic Letter of Recommendation form to submit your recommendation letters.

  • I-20 Application and Supporting Financial Documents (international applicants only)

    Print and complete the I-20 Application Form [PDF] and submit it with your supplemental materials.
