Provide transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
Transcripts must be evaluated by an approved agency for admittance into this program. For more information on transcript evaluations, please refer to the Admission Application Instructions.
GRE or MAT test scores are optional. While not required by the department, students are welcome to submit GRE or MAT scores if they believe the scores will help strengthen their application. In some cases, the department may advise or ask the applicant to take and submit one of the tests after initial review of the application.
TOEFL scores are required for international applicants or applicants who earned a degree outside the U.S. (minimum scores: 90/577/233). Scores will be reviewed based on section scores and total scores. IELTS scores may be submitted in lieu of TOEFL scores.
Submit an essay (1–3 typed pages) that addresses key life experiences, personal development, family history, arts background, and service history.

Three letters of recommendation are required. Use the Electronic Letter of Recommendation form to submit your recommendation letters.
Submit a portfolio of 10–15 works of art that demonstrate facility with a range of media and personal understanding of the creative process. An image list (title, media, dimensions) must accompany the portfolio. Email portfolio materials to email@example.com as PDF attachments or provide links to images or videos hosted on a publicly accessible website. All work submitted becomes part of the application and will not be returned.
