According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook (2008-09 edition), the employment of property, real estate, and community association managers is projected to increase by 15 percent during the next decade, faster than the average for all occupations. In 2006, Money magazine listed property management as one of the 25 best jobs in the United States.
According to the National Apartment Association, 87 percent of property management positions require advanced education including:
- Owner, President, CEO, CFO, COO
- Vice President
- Property Supervisor, Regional Manager (Multi-Site)
- Onsite Property Manager
As a student in the program, you will benefit from Drexel's close connection with the National Apartment
Association (NAA) and will take the Certified Apartment Management (CAM) examination during your senior year. The completion of the degree program will also provide you with the necessary background to take the examination for the Certified Property Management (CPM) professional designation offered by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
