Location
Another unique feature of the program is its location in Philadelphia, close to New York City, Baltimore, Washington, and the Atlantic seacoast. This region includes hundreds of hospitality and dining establishments, many of which are active partners in the program's curriculum. These include five-star/diamond hotels, award-winning restaurants, and resorts.
The Culinary Arts program's close relationships with the finest hotels and restaurants in the Philadelphia area and involvement with professional organizations result in scholarship funding for students.
Cooperative Learning
Drexel University has long been known for its
co-op
programs through which students combine periods of full-time, career-related employment with their studies. Co-op employment is required for full-time Culinary Arts students and is central to their educational experience.
