Dual Degree Program

If you're interested in earning your Applied Engineering Technology degree but not prepared to attend courses on Drexel's campus quite yet, the AET program offers several options that will allow you to begin (or even complete) your Drexel degree on the campus of a local community college.

Delaware County Community College

Goodwin College offers a dual degree program with Delaware County Community College (DCCC) leading to concurrent associate and bachelor degrees in appropriate areas of study.

Through a unique articulation agreement, students can earn a Bachelor of Science in Applied Engineering Technology from Drexel as well as an Associate of Applied Science degree at DCCC in Automated Manufacturing/Robotics, Machine Tool Technology, Mechanical Technology, or Electronics Technology. Students will be enrolled at both Drexel and DCCC, working concurrently on both degrees.

As an added benefit to the Dual Degree program, students can earn certifications recognized by industry and required by employers for entry into the workforce. DCCC currently offers four certificates of competency and one certificate of proficiency in advanced manufacturing. Each certificate program— usually completed in six months to one year—provides credits that automatically apply to a student's degrees.

Drexel at BCC

Drexel University and Burlington County College (BCC) have joined forces to create a unique educational opportunity called Drexel at BCC. This innovative partnership—the first of its kind in the region—enables students to earn a bachelor's degree in AET on a part- or full-time basis from Drexel University while remaining on BCC's Mount Laurel campus.

Students complete their first two years at BCC or through transfer credits from an accredited institution, then stay on the Mount Laurel campus to pursue 300- and 400-level AET courses. All Drexel courses are taught by experienced Drexel faculty who bring practical and current experience to the BCC classroom.

Drexel at P.I.T.

Through a new dual enrollment agreement, alumni of Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (P.I.T.) associate's degree programs can now transfer to Drexel at junior status and earn a bachelor's degree in several areas, including AET. Qualified students transfer to Drexel with junior college status and earn a bachelor's degree. P.I.T. students transferring to Drexel's AET program will also be eligible for a "Drexel-P.I.T." grant of up to $4,000 to help defer the costs of the Drexel portion of their program.
