Gerry Marekova is the program manager for Goodwin College's Applied Engineering Technology (AET) program. A Drexel employee for more than nine years, Gerry worked in the Department of Bioscience and Biotechnology at Drexel University for five years before coming to Goodwin.
As a program manager, Gerry advises AET students on their plan of study and works to identify co-op opportunities and career placement in collaboration with the Steinbright Career Development Center. She has been instrumental in the development of Goodwin's strategic partnerships with Burlington County College, Delaware County Community College, and Philadelphia Institute of Technology. In addition, she assists Drexel's admissions office in the recruitment of AET students and hosts orientation sessions, networking events, and a high school race car competition to facilitate students’ interest in the field of engineering technology.
Gerry serves on a number of Goodwin's academic committees and has co-authored two conference proceedings in the American Society for Engineering Education. She completed her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration at Drexel's School of Education. Her primary research interest is on learning styles of students. Gerry has also completed a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing at Drexel and earned her Certified Program Planner (CPP) designation from the LERN Institute.
Prior to her studies in the United States, Gerry attended the Wirtshaft University in Vienna, Austria, studying business administration. She was also involved in coordinating incoming student orientations and was liaison for German and Bulgarian students. |
